Black Russia Beginner Guide: First Steps for New Players

Step 1: Install the game and pick a server

Black Russia is free on Android and iOS. The official start page links Google Play, the App Store, RuStore and an APK from the site. It offers no browser or PC version, so "играть без скачивания" is not an official option. Store links are on /download.

Choose the server before you create a character, because each character stays on one server. The official list had 92 Russian-language servers on 21 October 2026. Compare them on /servers.

Step 2: Register and create your character

The official start page lists these steps:

1. Enter a nickname and tap «Играть». If it asks for a password, the name is taken.
2. Register with your email and a password. You can link VK or Telegram later.
3. If a friend invited you, enter their nickname and tap «Продолжить». If not, tap «Пропустить».
4. Choose gender, create the look and tap «Начать игру».

The knowledge base adds a warning: you cannot change gender later. One account can hold up to three characters.

Nickname rules (Имя_Фамилия)

• First name and surname joined by an underscore, in Latin letters (rule 4.06).
• First name plus surname can be at most 19 characters, with no digits or symbols.
• No more than two capitals, one per part (rule 4.07). Prefixes like DeSanta are allowed.
• It must look like a real name. Super_Man is a listed bad example (4.08). No insults, political or religious words (4.09), and no copies of other players' names (4.10).

Breaking these rules means at least a verbal warning and a forced rename. If your name breaks the rules, you can request a free rename in Планшет → Меню → Изменить имя. Otherwise a rename costs BC in the shop.

The inviter's nickname (ник пригласившего)

An older knowledge-base article says you and your inviter both get prizes when you reach level 3. The prizes themselves are not published. Promo codes are a separate thing, entered later with /promo. See /codes.

Guest mode: what you can and cannot do

Tapping «Я гость» names you "Гость" and puts you on a random server. As a guest you can take the tutorial and reach level 2. Until you link an email, you cannot:

• create a second character, change server or change your name;
• create a family or join a faction;
• join some seasonal events, such as Black Pass and the Calendar (Календарь);
• start the story line or trade with other players.

To link an email, tap «Регистрация» on the screen. Your guest character stays playable, and the game offers you a free rename. Editorial advice (October 2026): use guest mode only for a quick look, because progress stops at level 2.

The new login system (Новая авторизация)

With the new authorization, one email account holds up to three characters on each server. The 15 October 2026 update made «Авторизация 2.0» the default for new players. A code arrives by email, and then you set a password in Latin letters, over 8 characters long, with digits and capitals.

• Characters created in the new system cannot use the old nickname-and-password login.
• To add an old character, select its server, tap «Привязать» and enter its old nickname and password. A character can be linked to one account only, ever.
• If your client still shows the old login, switch it on in Настройки → Безопасность → Информация.
• Never share your email code. Giving other people access to your account is a PermBan (rule 4.03).

Your first hour: Uncle Slava, PayDay and XP

At the railway station, Uncle Slava (Дядя Слава) offers a tutorial. The knowledge base tells first-timers not to skip it, because it teaches the basics and gives starting resources. After that, your level grows with experience points (опыт):

To see how much XP the next level needs, open the menu → Статистика. During the weekly x2 event (Friday 12:00 to Monday 12:00 Moscow time) you get more XP.

What opens at each level: 2, the army; 3, the auction and trading; 4, the story line, the weapon license, ГИБДД and УМВД; 8 plus two story parts, the Storm Cup (Кубок Шторма).

First jobs for levels 1–3

The official jobs list sorts all 22 jobs by level. The license column comes from the driving-license article.

Type /gps → «Работы для новичков», or rent a scooter at a parking spot and the game suggests a starter job. The knowledge base rates the factory, mine and farm as low pay and low difficulty. Since 1 October 2026, pay also rises with your level. Editorial pick (October 2026): start at the factory or mine, which only need level 1. Full list: /jobs.

Documents every new player needs

ГИБДД, УМВД and ФСИН ask for all four documents below.

Every location is in /gps → «Важные места». Editorial order (October 2026): medical card, category B, military ID, then the weapon license at level 4, because the military ID needs the first two. The theory test is explained in the driving school guide, and faction requirements are on /factions.

Phone, SIM card and calls

You get a SIM card after registration, but it works only once you buy a mobile phone at a 24/7 store. Then open the inventory, select the SIM card and tap «Использовать».

The knowledge base describes no tariff plans. Your phone has a balance in game rubles, and each SMS costs 5 ₽. Check the balance with /c 111, and top it up at a 24/7 store or an ATM. The 24/7 store also sells new SIM cards («Изменить номер»).
